We’re proud to announce our Scholarship Winner and Honorable Mentions for the 2016 CAFFA Scholarship Contest. We received many heartfelt stories from worthy young adult adoptees, so the choice was very tough. Essays were scored and discussed based on the writer’s ability to address the essay question (How have adoption and/or foster care touched/shaped your life?) and overall impact.
The Winner of the $2,000 scholarship was Mr. Anthony Biancofiori, who is attending Loyola University Chicago.
Also, the three Honorable Mentions (each receiving $250 scholarships) were awarded to Ms. Jaclyn, Ms. Margaret Maloney and Ms. Annika Zdon.
We hope all entrants will continue to participate in the Adoption Community in the future – there are many ways, big and small, to do so. Whether it’s your choice of careers, mentoring younger members of the community, volunteering for an adoption or service related organization, you can make a difference! You certainly are already on that path!
